How would you describe your everyday makeup look?
Shiny and low intervention. I really enjoy skincare and makeup but I don’t take it too seriously on principle. Feeling good is more important than looking perfectly done up. “Sisters not twins” is my cat eye philosophy. I like a little bit of coverage and a lot of highlighter and recently bronzer and blush to look a bit sunburnt but in a cartoon-character way.
Okay, so break down your go-to products to get this look and the order they’re applied in?

Tinted sunscreen. Right now, I’m using Avene but I’ve not yet found The One.

Glossier Stretch Concealer. Sheer and shiny heaven applied with my finger or a sponge.

How has your everyday makeup look evolved over the last few years? And have there been any dramatic changes of late?
I wouldn’t say my everyday makeup look has evolved all that much, I’m still very much championing the glazed doughnut look. The only dramatic changes have been that I buy a lot more makeup now so I have a lot more products to play with. For instance, I have about two lip glosses or eyeliners in every single bag I own. 
What make-up products can’t you live without?

Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter. My friend Sarah recommended it a few months ago, and she’s part-goddess, part-human, so I bought it immediately and now I can’t imagine not using it. It’s so easy to use and doesn’t highlight my pores, which unfortunately happens often with a lot of other products. It’s also quite forgiving and makes me feel like I’m a shiny pastry.

Urban Decay All Nighter. A new one in my rotation but it really does the job. And there’s just something satisfying about doing a whole look and then feeling like I’m somehow scientifically sealing it with this stuff.

Not a makeup product, but essential nonetheless: Sensab deodorant. This cream deodorant is so luxe yet effective. It’s made with natural ingredients and no scary stuff and it smells so expensive. Also, the packaging is perfect.

Glossier Haloscope in Topaz. This is the easiest highlighter slash lightweight bronzer. I love it so much. Also, it’s fun to draw on your face.

Nyx Epic Ink Liner. Easy to apply, doesn’t budge and isn’t eye-wateringly expensive.

Loreal Infallible Powder. I don’t use much so this powder is now an ancient artefact in my toiletry bag but it’s great for my eyelids and around my eye as a prep for eyeliner and it’s also good when I want to lock in my look a little before having to put my mask on.
When deciding what makeup looks to do, where do you draw your inspiration from?
Instagram (my saved folder is exclusively makeup, fat babies, and slinky-long dinner tables in Italy for some reason). 90s music videos (Janet Jackson mostly). People watching (London must be one of the greatest cities in the world for my favourite sport). Movies (I watched Scarface recently and Michelle Pfeiffer’s makeup was immaculate).
What’s your best tip for a day-to-night makeup transition?
I don’t think I’m the person for this question because I love a shower. I don’t want to transition with the aid of a smokey eye or whatever magazines would say. I want to completely submerge myself in a volcano-hot shower and double cleanse my face and start again. I always do a pre-going out shower unless forces are against me. If I have to do a makeup transition then I guess I would use a little face oil and a highlighter stick on my cheekbones and some lipliner and lip gloss.
Hottest make-up application tip?
I don’t always do it, but I love applying makeup with a damp sponge sprayed with just a dash of setting spray. It just makes my skin look so buttery.

Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter and Fenty lip gloss. Two of the hardest working girls I know!
